The Dunn Street Residence rental apartments is a provider of upscale, green and health-living environment. These rental apartments will have 102 one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartment units. The building will have six floors and 137 surface parking spaces.
We will construct the rental apartment building with high-quality finishes. These include modern cabinetry, energy-efficient appliances, in-suite laundry, exercise room, sauna, and many healthy living features. The apartment building will feature on-site amenities exceeding other rental apartments in Niagara Falls.
The rental apartments will cater to the growing needs in the adjoining Niagara Falls tourist core and the local community. We expect to complete this rental apartment building for occupancy towards the end of 2022.
Net Zero Compliance
In Canada, residential buildings use up to 33% of the country’s electricity. We aim to reduce our share of the carbon footprint with net-zero electric consumption. we will achieve this by incorporating green design. This is going to be first solar-powered project in Niagara Falls.
The Residences will have the latest smart energy technologies, including home energy management systems, parking and rooftop solar panels.
As a net-zero energy (NZE) building, we aim to reduce energy needs to a minimum. To achieve this, the on-site solar panel grid would produce as much energy as it consumes every year.
The building will be connected to the hydro grid to supply electricity to the hydro grid from the solar panels when generating excess electricity. Similarly, it would draw electricity from the hydro grid when the building demands exceed the on-site solar electricity production.
On average, the energy the building would supply to the grid would balance the traditional energy consumption. Thus achieving net-zero annual energy consumption.
